Verified calls – the person you call sees that it is really you
Phone scams work because anyone can pretend to be anyone on the phone. With Phone in CodeB Wallet you call with your verified identity: before the call starts, your name – confirmed with your digital identity – is announced, and the person you call sees it on screen while their phone rings. Phone works like a normal phone: type a number or pick a contact and tap Call.
- Your name from your digital identity
- Shown while the phone rings
- No phone numbers sent to our server

How a verified call works
- 1Sign in onceOpen Phone. CodeB Wallet confirms your name with your digital identity – one sign-in covers several calls for a few minutes.
- 2DialType the number or pick a contact, then tap Call.
- 3Your name is announcedJust before the call, the wallet announces your verified name – for this call only.
- 4They see it is youWhile the phone rings, the person you call sees “Announced call” with your name.
The call itself is a normal phone call over your mobile network – CodeB Wallet starts it for you with one tap. Nothing about the call is recorded.
Make a verified call
- Open Phone – from the menu, from the Phone card on the home screen, or from the app shortcut (touch and hold the CodeB Wallet icon).
- The first time, confirm the sign-in with your wallet. The screen then shows how long the sign-in can still be used for calls.
- Type the number on the dialpad, or tap Choose from contacts.
- Tap Call. Your name is announced and the call starts.
Phone appears only when a verified phone number card is in your wallet – you get it free with your CodeB account. Your phone needs a SIM card to call; without one, Phone tells you so.
See who is calling
To see verified callers on your own phone, open Settings and switch on Show verified callers – it stays off until you switch it on. If you allow it, calls from your contacts are checked too.
When a verified call comes in, a message with the caller’s verified name pops up on screen while the phone rings. This works for every verified phone number card in your wallet.
Privacy first
No phone numbers go to our server – not yours and not the number you call. The server only gets a short check code that cannot be turned back into a number.
Only for this call: an announcement is valid for a short time and only for the call you are making.
Your choice: showing verified callers is off until you switch it on, and access to your contacts is an optional extra question.
A confirmed name: the name comes from your digital identity, not from what someone types in.
CodeB Wallet is built to the EUDI Wallet ARF – certification is ahead of us.
Questions about verified calls
Does the person I call need CodeB Wallet?
To see your verified name, yes: CodeB Wallet with a verified phone number card and Show verified callers switched on. Everyone else simply gets a normal call.
Is my phone number sent to a server?
No. Neither your number nor the number you call is sent to our server – only a short check code that cannot be turned back into a number.
What do I need to make verified calls?
CodeB Wallet on an Android phone with a SIM card, your digital identity in the wallet and a verified phone number card from your free CodeB account.
Why do I have to sign in?
The sign-in confirms your name with your digital identity. One sign-in can be used for several calls for a few minutes; after that the app asks again.
Does Phone replace my phone app?
No. Phone is the dialer for verified calls inside CodeB Wallet; the call itself is a normal phone call over your mobile network.
